Fountain Square Baptist Church is a body of baptized believers who assemble together to fulfill the great commission of Jesus Christ, who said:

“…All power is given unto Me in heaven and earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”
-Matthew 28:18-20

We are an independent historic baptist church, that is not incorporated or 501c(3), we are simply a church over whom Christ is the Head.

We believe the Baptist Distinctives:

    • The Bible is our sole Authority
    • Autonomy of the local church
    • Every believer is a priest before God
      • Our only mediator is Jesus Christ
    • The local church has two ordinances (not sacraments or means of salvation)
      • Believer’s baptism (by immersion)
      • The Lord’s Supper (for remembrance)
    • Individual soul liberty
    • There are two offices in the local church
      • Pastor
      • Deacon
    • Separation of church and state
