Bible Versions
Our first topic is the Bible itself. There is much debate out there concerning the Bible versions and which one is right and which ones are not. Let me start out by saying that they all have differences and things that are different are not the same. I’m not talking about printing errors or things like that, I’m talking about many words being different and missing or added.
We will begin with our premise for this doctrine. Our premise is that God said that He would preserve His Word in the Scriptures. The following passages deal with preservation:
“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
“Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever” (Psalm 119:152)
“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever” (Psalm 119:160).
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Mat. 5:18).
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Mat. 24:35)
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you” (1Pet. 1:23-25)
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” (Rev. 22:18-19)
This will be a long discussion but well worth it. That which we consider to be the Word of God is very important. John 1 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” So you see, the doctrine we have concerning the Word of God effects what we think about God Himself.
Please return often and this topic will continue to develop. We will deal with many of the the opinions out there and discuss Scripture about this topic and the history of the Bible as well as many other things so that we may say that we have studied thoroughly the doctrine of God’s Word.

Malachi Ch 4:
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.- http://www.ChurchOfThe.Net – Got Bible?
